1 large chicken breast sliced in 1cm strips seasoned with salt and pepper
100ml double cream yoghurt
1 heaped tsp mild curry powder
1tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped chilli (remove pips for milder option)
2 heaped teaspoons creme fraische humus (see recipe in sauces)
4 heaped teaspoons creme fraische tzatziki (see recipe in sauces)
chopped lettuce
sliced pickled jalapeno peppers (optional - can be replaced by tomato or red onions)
Directions:
Marinade chicken strips in mixed together yoghurt, curry powder, ginger, garlic and chilli for at least 2 hours. Tear apart 2 sides of pita bread. Lightly butter both. Heat a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. Fry until lightly browned. Fry chicken strips in a little oil on high heat for 2 - 3 minutes. Spread humus on taco shells, add lettuce, chicken and jalapenos. Spoon tzatziki on top and serve.
